Trisha Brown's position on the North American dance scene is unique: after Martha Graham and her modern dance, Merce Cunnigham who challenged all previous references, Trisha Brown found her place in the postmodern movement and influenced a great number of contemporary choreographers. Newark is considered by many as one of Trisha Brown's greatest pieces. It is a joy to (re)discover it here.
